Ministries
There are many ministries which operate within Jubilee Church. Some serve the church family and others serve the community. Have a look below to see what’s on offer.

Business for Christ
Business for Christ
Business for Christ has a passion to see the church touching lives and nations through the marketplace. Whether you are called to business, education, government, healthcare or media, you can literally take the Kingdom of God with you to the heart of the community every day. As well as meeting together to encourage and envision one another, we provide training and equipping on kingdom business, marketplace transformation and practical business issues. If you have been in business for decades, are just thinking of setting up a business, or are employed in the marketplace, join our website at www.businessforchrist.org and be part of what Christ is doing in the heart of the community.

Corporate Prayer

A change to the format of prayer life in Jubilee was brought about during early 2008. As a result we have altered our style of prayer to involve the whole body of Jubilee, meeting on the second Wednesday of every month for corporate prayer. Of course we encourage each person to spend their own time in prayer but we have found there is no substitute for the encouragement and direction that is generated among the people when we meet together in prayer. The major areas of prayer covered so far have been:

  1. Jubilee Church
  2. All Jubilee Zones
  3. Jubilee Training Centre
  4. Other Maidstone Churches

CREA Dance

There are three sections which come under the CREA Dance ministry within Jubilee Church.

'Fluid' is a dance class which takes place every Wednesday evening from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, except for the first Wednesday of each month.

Fluid was established with the idea to bring honour and glory to Jesus Christ through dancing. We desire to bring joy to His heart when we dance and to see dancers radically worship Him in spirit and truth from a heart of intimacy. We are dedicated to encouraging and equipping dancers to use their gifts to unleash their desire for worship, so they can step out in faith and boldness and do so with no restrictions. Dance is seen as an outreach tool to see the power of God impact and transform lives, communities and nations.

'Pulse' is a dance class for children from the age of five to 12. These classes fall on a Wednesday (9-12years), and Friday (5-8years).

Pulse's desire is to reach out to the community, and empower young children to live a healthier lifestyle by having fun through dance, and at the same time increase their fitness levels

The children are getting the foundational teaching and equipping from an early age, so they can be the catalyst to bring dancing back to its original intent - to worship and glorify its Creator.

Workshops - CREA Dance provide dance workshops such as Hip Hop and using flags. We desire to reach out to the community by providing these workshops to train people but also have fun and see lives transformed. Our workshops cater for all ages and are often opened to people outside Jubilee Church.

Crea Media
Crea Media Ministry Photo

CreaMedia is headed up by Eugen and Ramona Hanusch and was launched in 2006. The ministry covers a wide range of mediums including the church website, videos, graphic design, technical and programming support, and all things written.
Our team has a wealth of experience with a trained graphic deisgner – taught at Maidstone’s very own University of Creative Arts – an IT consultant, journalist, photographer and more.

We have run a host of projects including promotional DVDs for Jubilee’s summer youth camp Masada, relaunching the church website, writing children’s Biblical nursery rhymes and creating logos for ministries.

Training others is also key to what we do, whether that be in how to create a powerpoint project or design leaflets. One of the most popular courses we have run so far was a four-day video production workshop led by Rooftop, a specialist video and TV production company in South Africa.

We are passionate about furthering God’s kingdom and believe one of the best ways to do this is by using media – something which quickly reaches a wide audience as every person uses it every day.

We meet on Tuesday nights from 8pm and some Saturdays.

Equipping Track

equippingtrack-2009

The Equipping Track is focused on training the believer so they are prepared for service and can achieve their God-given destiny. This is done by offering courses to help with understanding the Bible and God’s principles. The basis of the Equipping Track is found in Ephesians 4, which speaks about preparing God’s people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up. Courses range from foundational doctrines to principles of preaching, financial freedom to marketplace ministry and how to study the Bible to church planting.

The aim is to make the courses available via different mediums, i.e. downloads from our website accompanied by audio, or DVD files and notes. The entire course is broken into four or five sections and each section will have various headings or subjects with lectures.

The track will soon be available to be sold as a package to individuals, churches and mission organisations across the globe. The entire course could take two or three years to complete depending where the believer is on their spiritual journey.

Jubilee Adult Education

Jubilee Adult Education was started in the beginning of 2007 and exists to promote life-long learning and to empower learners in a friendly and quality educational environment to gain greater training skills and personal confidence for the future.

We, in conjunction with the Jubilee Resource Hub, are steered by a team of seven, all with experience in education and the market place in various fields. These include Jean and Linda Harrington (Principals) and Ruth Eagles OBE (Quality Control).

The leadership team includes experienced primary and secondary school teachers, trained adult educators, prison educators, councillors and a broad base of qualified voluntary workers. Jubilee Adult Education Centre is designed as a learning environment for the adult student, and our curriculum and academic support reflect this goal. Advisors are available over the phone, in person or vial e-mail and our Learning Support Assistants (LSA) are available to help the students with their course work for all of the courses.

Our quality programs and individual attention ensure that the students will not only enjoy going back to school, but that they will receive the most in return for their time and effort.

Ladies Mentoring

Ladies Mentoring

Ladies Mentoring is a relational ministry through which one person empowers another by sharing God-given resources, encouraging growth through inspiration, guidance and support.

During the course, women are placed into groups of between six and 10 ladies with two leaders, who are also called mentors. Prayer partners are assigned in each group and they meet up weekly to encourage one another and build friendship.

Various books are read throughout the 11-month scheme and assignments are given which are tailored to the content of each book.

Monthly group meetings are held and this time is used to discuss how God has challenged the women through the books and life in general. Each lady also meets with one of their group mentors to walk through any areas in their life God highlights, but more importantly to build a trusting, accountable friendship.

It is a wonderful year as the ladies press in and deepen relationships, develop their prayer life, and experience God’s amazing goodness.

Mamas and Babas
Mamas and Babas Ministry

The aim of Mamas & Babas is to bring mothers of babies and toddlers together and offer them support, relationship and training, as well as providing stimulation for the children.

The group will give mums the opportunity to meet others from similar situations, where they can chat about their experiences. We will also call upon the support of professionals for training and talks, as well as facilitate some outings and eventually foster a sense of community. The group meets every Monday (during term time) at the Jubilee Community Centre from 10:00am to 11:30am. To find out more visit: www.mamasandbabas.org.uk

Restoring Hands

Restoring Hands
This ministry is about practically demonstrating God’s love in the community, be this by going shopping for someone with a disability, gardening, painting for an elderly person and so on. It has existed for quite a long period but it has recently started taking on a new shape as the ‘church in community’ leg of Jubilee is beginning to grow. We are expecting new and exciting things to start to happen this year. One of these was a Snow Angels project - a scheme which involved blessing people who work in and for the community all year round. A variety of blessings were given including Christmas stockings, chocolates, cards, money and so on, with people such as dustbin men, hospital wards, maternity nurses and policemen recognised for their work with a little encouraging gift.
